Howdy!:)

Don't know much about Colt revolvers so I'll askthe experts.

I saw a Colt I'm thinking of buying and wanted to get opinions. It's a 4", adjustable sighted, Trooper III (357) with what I think is the "Coltguard" (nickel) finish and pachmayers.

Condition looks to be 95% or so. Not sure on box etc.

Asking price is $325- it this a deal? Any other comments?

Thanks-Anthony

I think that's a good deal. The MKIII was an excellent gun. I had one in the blued finish (a six-inch) and it did a good job for years. Wish I'd kept it.

I like the six-inch barrel model, but if this one fits your needs, it's a good choice.

Good price on a great revolver. Refrain from dry firing on an empty chamber and that revolver will still be shooting long after you have quit.

$300 would be a pretty good deal on a 95% Trooper MkIII. I have a 4" MkIII and I think the balance is just about perfect.

Good luck - hope you can get it for $300. If not, $325 isn't bad either. I've noted the prices on the internet auctions and they continue to go up.

I recently handled a 6" Trooper MKIII in 95%+ condition with a sticker price of $350. It is taunting me even though the double action trigger was not impressive, and I do not think the wooden grips were original. It was very tight and did not show any holster wear.

This discussion leads me to believe that the sticker is a fair OTD price because I sure can't find them online for anywhere near this price.
