trouble with magnum 870 barrel on supermag

My dad recently gave me a remington mag deer barrel, the kid that shoots both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells

When it tried putting it on my supermag it fits, but the base is able to slide around

I put the barrels side by side and its like the bases are mirror images of each other

I dont understand why they arent the same

Can anyone help me out?

Also, i noticed that because the deer barrel is reversed that the bolt doesnt close all the way when the pump is racked forward

Almost sounds like one of the barrels is left handed. Best check.

The barrel slipping around could be from not tightening up the mag cap enough.

After posting I thought about it being left handed
It would explain everything if it was a left handed barrel
