I have a Troy Pump Action .223 Rem/5.56mm. Has anyone here reloaded the .223 Rem/5.56mm brass from the Troy PAR (pump action rifle)? I have one and noticed that there are Verticle cearations on the brass, my best guess that they are caused by the ejector system. Are these casings OK to reload? If no one here has any information on these casings then, does anyone know of a forum where I might be able to get some information on reloading these brass cases? Thank You, 74man

This is what the cases look like! What causes this to happen to your casings?

My CETME did that to all my 308 brass and I still got 5-6 loadings out of it before I got rid of it. It is from the fluted chamber and is normal.

If the PAR rifles had removable muzzle devices they’d be perfect for all the different subsonic loads people run for using a can. A PAR with a suppressor chambered in 300 BO would be a thing of beauty.

Of course, if gas is no issue, you could make sub Sonics for any caliber.

Right you are. It’s just the 300 BO was sort of intended for suppressed use. Nothing wrong with a subsonic 223 or 308 either though. Particularly with the 308, you get a HUGE jump in capability if you decide regular velocity is the way to go.
