Yesterday: 78 Degrees and Sunny - Hornady 115 Gr FMJ-Encap @ 1.133 +/- .002 with a WSP primer.
6.2 Grs True Blue:
3" EMP = Avg 1050 FPS
4 1/2" TZ = Avg 1135 FPS
16" AR = 1305 Avg FPS
6.4 Grs True Blue:
3" EMP = Avg 1096 FPS
4 1/2" TZ = Avg 1170 FPS
16" AR = 1360 Avg FPS
All loads were shot through the Chrono at 5 yards on to a target at 7 yards. Overall the guns preferred 6.2 Grs, but it was only one target each. 6.4 Grs shot well also, just not as well this one time.
Recoil was noticeably more with the 6.4 Gr load, but not bad. Gonna try 6.3 next time.
I shot 6 loads with the 115 Gr Hornady bullet. Three proven loads, a load I wanted to try again because it was so extremely clean the first try, and the two True Blue loads.
All shot well except the SR 4756 load. It was extremely clean again, but just did not shoot well.
N320, N330, and AA #5 all shot well. I left WSF and HS-6 out this time around.
I also shot two 124/125 Gr loads in the EMP & the AR. I found out my EMP and AR, especially the AR, just love the Zero 125 Gr JHP (9MM #162).
