Truly Custom Pistol?

It's clear that you really don't want to hear any suggestions or opinions that don't mirror or support your ideas. Good luck finding your dream gun in the tiny little box you're looking in.

This thread is exactly about getting my dream gun in the tiny box I'm looking in, and whether or not it is possible to have someone do this for me. Truly custom, made just-for-me to meet my specifications. To get passive-aggressive on me for having specific ideas in mind in this thread is...erm...I don't really know what to say about that.

I realize that this may be nowhere close to what you want, but just for the heck of it, I'm gonna throw the Boberg XR9 out there for ya. I can also practically guarantee ya that nobody else at your range will have one. Check it out here: http://www.bobergarms.com/#

The goal isn't to have something unique, but to have something with a control scheme I don't have to compromise for just because I'm left handed.

9mm, yes, Glock looks better than that, IMHO anyway. Also, the rail is important on the double stack, not on the pocket version.

So something like this

...or this

...in the double stack M13 variation, but you want a rail added.

Would you clarify what practical use you'd make of a rail?

Just to be clear, you think this:

...looks better than this:

^ Yeah, you can count me, too! Glocks are bootiful!

Here's my completely ambi FNX, no safety.

The external part of the safety lever is all I removed, using a Dremel. There's a little metal "spur" in the left side of the frame internals that pushes the trigger bar off track when the safety is on. I have toyed with the idea of removing it, to ensure that the gun can't be accidentally put on safe. But I've tried real hard to turn the non-existent lever, and I haven't succeeded. So I left it alone. I have a spare set of levers from Midwest Gun Works for the princely sum of $5.00. So I can convert it back if I ever want to sell the gun.

As far as revolvers for lefties, you have one advantage. A righty carrying a revolver has to carry gun AND reloads both on the strong side. You get the advantage of being able to disperse the weight.

I imagined my "perfect" carry gun. Provided only a bare frame as a starting point. That frame and every other piece was chosen and smithed to complete that image. It met my expectations exactly.

Guess it is one of a kind.

So you're saying you have a custom 1911? Yeah, those are rare as hen's teeth.
