I have a 1974 manufacture Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum, bought used.
Unfortunately in my first shooting session, discovered a couple issues. I have replaced a dented magazine tube with a new one. A couple parts I haven't been able to find are the front barrel band screw, and the rear barrel band screw (discovered it was broken after removing the front sight and barrel band).
I have looked at Numrich Gun Parts, MidwayUSA and Brownells with either the parts not listed, or sold out.
Any recommendations for other parts vendors are appreciated. I have contacted Marlin/Remington, but not much help over the phone (I may have to ship the screws so they can compare them to stock.)
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Ron

Thanks guys, I will call them both and see what they have available. I appreciate your postings.

Waiting to hear from Dick Williams Gun Shop; Alhmans confirmed that they have parts only for newer models. Will give an update when I hear from the former.

I had contacted Classic Arms (740-432-3055) as a Marlin Customer Service contact (this shop services Ohio customers) and will likely have to send the screws for comparison, if I strike out with Dick Williams.

Dick Williams Gun Shop of Saginaw, Michigan had the parts I needed, and will be sending them out shortly. Very friendly to work with over the phone, response on email was about a day. Will definitely keep them in mind for future part searches. Thanks for the leads, Four Knives and MrDig. Wish I had posted sooner.

Also glad to be of assistance, Sorry to hear that The one repair shop recommended by Marlin in Minnesota does not carry older model parts.
