If you want a pistol to shoot the 7.62x25 cartridge you have two choices, either the CZ52 or the TT33. I have both and consider the TT a better pistol. It seems to function with less fuss and fury perhaps due to the fact that it uses the same Browning lockup as in the 1911 and BHP. The sights are pretty good for a pre-WW2 design. The CZ is more violent in action and in my experience sheds parts.
Right now there are Polish and Romanian versions of the TT available, I think the Polish TT is superior in construction.

I've been looking at the romainians at AIM.com
I am not so sure about the added saftey though. I understand they had to do it to import them, but how reliable is it? Then again they only want 199 for em.

Yeah, at AIM's price it is AWFULLY tempting! Ammo for the Tokarev appears reasonable, and supposedly since the round is still a popular machine gun calibre, continues to be made.
But, rally, I think it would be an interesting range gun....maybe a car gun, but not too practical for CHL. There are simply better choices (and this coming from a guy who frequently carries a Mak for CCW in summer).

No, definitely don't buy one. The less people buy them, the more that will be available for when I can afford one.

I had one in 9mm and it was a pretty decent little pistol.

The Polish TT33 sold for $129 a few years back, and I ordered one. They were a deal for that price. Who can resist a clean, historical and fun pistol for a little over a hundred bucks? If you can afford a couple of hundred for a fun range gun, and if you enjoy historical firearms, buy it. Chances are, you will like it. They are well made, and they are a very interesting design. The action is totally removable, and the magazine feed lips are not on the magazine at all!

The Polish TT33s came with funky thumbrest style grips. As you can see below, my Polish TT33 is wearing Romanian grips until I come across proper Polish ones.
