I have a mid 50s build date T33c, I've finally come across a few 9x19 barrels to stick in it. My question is simply this, do they all use the same exteral diameter/ length barrel?

I know the Norinco 213 and the Navy Arms TU-90s are essentially continued production of the original TT series, but I'm spotty on the interchangeability of the parts that make them up.

I hope they do, I'd love to be able to shoot 7.62x25 AND 9mm. Especially since hollow point 9mm is much easier to locate.

I got a 9mm conversion barrel for my Polish TT-33. The original barrel bushing would not fit until I ground the interior "ring" out of the inside with a dremel.

Everything else worked fine. I even used the original 7.62 mags and just loaded the 9mm in there. They would shake back and forth in the mag but fed just fine.

The Chinese 9mm parts drop into a Romanian Tokarev just fine. I have a 1953 Romanian Tokarev. I recently acquired the parts to make it 9mm. Basically, all you have to swap out is the barrel (with link) and the bushing. Very simple conversion that can be performed in under 5 minutes. The Chinese also made a chrome-lined 7.62x25 barrel. You can find them in brand new condition, but they are a bit harder to find and fit, because they don't come with a link. You have to salvage the one from your old barrel, and the pin requires gunsmith removal. Once out, though, a 1911 link pin works just fine.
