I would like some help in figuring out what fits what for magazines for Tokarevs and the different knock-offs. I have a N.A. (Navy Arms?) TU-90 in 7.62x25 which can be converted with a 9mm barrel that came with it. My question is in regards to the magazines. What magazines from the models of the various other lookalikes would fit it? Would a 54-1 fit? A TT33? I only have the one magazine and would like to buy a spare. For a cheap import the pistol is a very reliable shooter and has good accuracy. Thanks for the help in advance.:)

Um, yeah...
depends...
on what type do you have?
as for what I guess, any x25 mag except yugo, cause it wasn't till the it was a dedicated 9 that they put in a magwell spacer.

All the info I have is as follows: Stamped on the left side is: Model TU-90 N.A. Co. Ridgefield, NJ. on the right side it is stamped 7.62 MM Made in China. My Catalog of Firearms shows Navy Arms Company is out of Ridgefield, NJ and it lists a TU-90 pistol but there is no picture and just states the pistol is based on the Tokagypt pistol. So I'm pretty sure (99% anyway) it is a Navy Arms. At first I thought it might be a Norinco but is it possible it was made by them? According to my book Navy Arms was strictly an importer so a number of their guns appeared under other names. Given all of that, I still am not sure what would swap out with other pistols. I did however see a reference from a seller of a magazine for a Type 54-1 Tokarev (Norinco) stating it would fit a TU-90 and a M-213 whatever that is.

The Chinese, Russian TT33, Polish and Romanian Tokarevs can share the same magazine. As Shadow noted, its the Yugo variant that has a different magazine.

the 54 is the military and in x25
however there were ones sold with a 9mm barrel and a 9mm version, which either used a different magazine and a magwell spacer OR a blocked off magazine OR the same mag as x25

Thats were the confusion on Norinco's can come in
