The Wanenmacher show has always been my favorite and I'm looking forward to it. It doesn't have the same draw for me as it used to. I'm not in the acquisition phase of my gun hobby at present. I'm selling guns instead, but not renting a table. It will mostly be about seeing old friends and having a few meals together. It is a 4 hour drive for me, but worth it. Who's going?? From where?

When my buddies and I are checking out of the Embassy Suites at the end of the show, we make reservations for the next one. Otherwise it fills up. You might try Bartlesville just north of Tulsa.

I only live 2 hours away, but have never been. Looks like this one is 11/12&13. Might finally make this happen. Not really looking for anything and it's really rare for me to buy anything at modern day guns shows, but it would be cool to see.

My Gun Show days are about over but its usually a good show. I've probably been to over 50 of them. I did like 39 in a row before work caused me to miss one. Its everything you said and then some. Meals with friends, drinks with friends back at the room, ect.

Hope you enjoy it! Wish I were going.

If you have never been, take a small pocket note book. Theres just too much to remember. You think you can but.........! Also wear some comfortable walking shoes.

I'll be there, at least on Sunday.

I very much enjoy the show, even when I buy nothing. Okay, I've never bought nothing, but even when I buy some little things.:)

And, occasionally, something just jumps out at me. I'm not looking to buy any firearms, but one never knows.

2 hour drive each way for me. I'll be there when the door opens Sunday morning.

It's on my bucket list also. Unfortunately, the fall show falls on opening weekend of firearms deer season in MO. I'll be in the woods.Maybe in the spring.

Your note reminds me that the fall show is usually the best. i love t he atmosphere fall brings and spending hours and hours with gun enthusiasts is a mood rescuing experience.

Coweta is close enough as well

OP I've been to every one for years. It was always fun taking the wife. Then taking the wife and boys when they were born. The friendliness and shear volume of firearms and related things always made for me leaving with something.
I'm definitely not going this year. I'm about 5 hours away and have other things that need my money right now.

Not this time, but went about four years ago.

My gun interests have changed a bit since then, but it's harder to justify the hotel + food costs when I can usually find what I want either on GB or sometimes in local shops.

At least when handling a gun ( :)----another reason to attend the W. Show in Tulsa) you can be sure whether you like a DA trigger pull etc.

And don't forget about Woolaroc Museum in Bartlesville. Again about 35-40 min north of Tulsa. Woolaroc was Frank Phillips weekend hunting lodge when Phillips Petroleum was completely based in Bartlesville. One of the best Colt collections in the world. Nice western art collection too!
