Tumbling primed cases

Just wondering if there are any risks to tumbling primed cases(no bullet/powder).

The only problem I could envisage would be trapped tumbler media in the primer but guess if each cartridge gets a good shake out there shouldn't be a problem.

Just thought I would check out what opinions are...

As JC said the ONLY problem will be a chunk of tumbler media will get stuck in about half of your flash holes. Some will say no problemo, others, like me, will say yes it does matter.

This has been discussed to death before. I always wondered about it, did that chunk of media disrupt the flame of the primer?

So I did a little test. I loaded some .223 which I had tumbled after resizing, looking for cases that had tumbler media stuck in the flash holes. Again, about half of 100 shells had media in the flash holes. I left the media in 50 and loaded 50 without.

Bottom line is; Yes it made a difference in group size, but not in velocity OR reliability. Would it be the same for every cartridge out there? Who knows, all I know is I'm NOT going to test them all!
