Hi everyone, flexible here.
Having a 7mm PRC built, mostly for 600 yard Benchrest and F class
It has to be removable since it can't be used in F class.
I'd also like it to be tunable.
Anyone have favorites?
thanks

not many shoot big .50,s today and most ranges don,t let you shoot them. that being said, i have two on rifles and they do work but i only sight then in on privite property from a friends bench on a farm. very loud.

Very interesting, how does the rifle handle with an ATS AND a Fat Bastard hanging off the front?
thanks

It’s slightly longer than without the tuner, and only a couple ounces more muzzle weight. I’m sure it moves the balance point a bit, but not enough that I notice any difference in handling. Comparatively, I do feel the balance point shift when I swap from brake to suppressor.

But I also haven’t used it on a lightweight hunting rifle with a light Sporter barrel either. A couple ounces gets diluted to nearly imperceptible on a 22lb rifle with an M24 barrel.

In fairness, I REALLY like the Area419 Sidewinder for magnum cartridges, but I’d want to do some thinkering and tinkering with their universal mount and the tuner before I committed. I’m also not sure if they are finally making suppressor endcaps yet for the Sidewinder universal mount. But it’s a fantastic big case brake, if it would work in your suppressor and tuner system.

SLIGHT CHANGE TO MY POST!
Lots of good info, thanks everyone.
I NOW would like to get a separate tuner which can stay on the rifle no matter which events I am in (F class, Bench Rest, NRA, tactical, PRS, etc.) some don't allow muzzle brakes but it looks like all allow tuners.
Has anyone set up a combination of an 'almost' permanent tuner with a muzzle brake that can be added or removed according to the event?
If so, what do you like?
thanks

@flexible - my answer doesn’t change, as I understood this “new premise” to be the actual need from the beginning, recognizing dual application use with some uses disallowing brakes. I recommended the ATS because it was a separate unit from the brake, so you can record your setting when using the brake, and your setting when using a thread protector or otherwise dumb muzzle weight.

I’m not aware of any tuner-brake which is modular such the brake portion could be independently removed, hence my recommendation for two independent units.
