Tuning up springfield GI 1911, please help.

I have a springfield GI 1911 and i was looking for some input on how to tune it up to make it more accurate, and maybe smooth the trigger out a little bit.also i was going to try to get some combat sights on it, any help would be appreciated.

You may want to try searching the gunsmithing forum. Also try visiting http://forums.1911forum.com. the type of project you describe is an everyday discussion over there.

If you search my user name both on THR and the 1911 forum you will find pretty good descriptions and pictures of what I did to mine.
