I have found a used in excellent condition 45acp springfield armory 1911 a1.not a scratch to be seen.
parkerized not blued
grips have US engraved on them
standard gi style sights
series 70 firing system
I did not get pics or serial #
what caught my eye as different is the 1911 a1 and springfield are laser etched or something on the slide as the letters are a different color.
the hammer is standard gi type as well
if any one could help with value I would appreciate it.I know this is not much to go on.

While SAI made a number of those, you just do not seem many of them afoot in the field. So, there's probably a "rarity" markup to consider. Bud's is showing a $650 retail price for that version, new. You can get a NIB Auto-Ordnance 1911A1 (with lanyard loop, if that's important) for $450-500.
So, you are going to have to decide how much "mark down" for being used, versus what price you are comfortable with given appearance and condition.
Hope any of that helps any at all.

I paid $500 for a Springfield Armory GI model NIB about 10 years ago, to give you a starting point. They haven't made that model in several years, and for the most part, your description sounds like one. While I must admit to ignorance as to whether the GI model was a series 70 or not, it did have all of the following features:

This would give me some pause.

The letters on mine were never a different color from the slide. If you'll search my posts in the thread "1911 Picture Thread, 2019 edition," you should find a picture of my GI model. I've made some changes, but you can see the left side of the slide for comparison.

If the rollmarks "letters" are a different color they are possibly filled in with a contrasting color. It was popular to fill the rollmarks in a while back, not so much anymore, To my knowledge SA has never lasered markings on their 1911 style pistols. Personally, I hate laser marking guns. If the rollmarks are in fact filled with paint or wax you can pick it out carefully.

so my next step is to get the serial number to see exactly what im dealing with. I would think that would help me out in the blue book.

We are talking about a difference of $50 maybe. Likely less. Sure, we all want a good deal, but isn’t your time worth more than that? And is there no chance that while you are fooling around, the gun will fly away?

You are correct on it getting away, I just feel that $600 is a steep price.I am open to opinions
