A guy at work I have known for quite a while and needed to raise some cash. Among the few guns he had, was 2 M&P Shields. One in 9mm and the other in 40. He bought both new and never shot the 9 and very few in the 40. I threw out a price for both and we agreed upon a sum.
I can sell either one for a small profit. I'm toying with the idea of selling the 9 and maybe keeping the 40. I see there are 40-9 conversion barrels on the market.
9s seem to sell easier than the 40, at least around here.
Has anyone tried a 40-9 conversion with the Shield? Did it work out okay.
I'm not a big fan of the 40, but I seem to keep some around.
What I didn't get was all the old articles talked about how thin the Shield was, but my LC9, with the same barrel length, is smaller in every way. I haven't shot it yet, but dry firing, the trigger seems to be a put off. Yes, shorter pull than the LC9, but a with heavy break.
I guess I will get a better feel about it when I can make it to the range.
Here is a comparing picture between the LC9 and Shield. And a picture of both the 9 and 40 Shield.
