On April 10, 2007, she signed SB 1250 which removes the fingerprint requirement for concealed weapons permit renewals. Starting December 31, 2007, when you renew your concealed weapons permit you will no longer be required to submit a set of fingerprints. On April 11, 2007, she signed HB 2469 which reduces the penalty for a concealed weapons permit holder failing to have their permit in their possession, while carrying concealed, from a misdemeanor to a petty offense.
