Two new accessories to enhance my Ruger LC9,,,
A .22 LR adapter kit from twisted Industries,,,
And a Pachmayer grip sleeve to widen her.

I like shooting the LC9,,,
Everyone says the trigger is terrible,,,
I just shot mine until I learned how to shoot it.

It's a long pull but not heavy at all,,
I know exactly where it breaks,,,
I'm hitting very well with her.

BTW,,,
Her name is Ruth.

Tried out my new rimfire toy a few days back,,,
I purchased a Twisted Industries .22 LR adaptor for my Ruger LC9.

I ordered it about 9:00 am last Monday morning,,,
It was delivered to me on Thursday afternoon.

Because of the great review that a friend gave of his adaptor,,,
I decided to go all in and ordered 2 extra magazines,,,
I knew I would later so I saved extra shipping.

As soon as I remembered seeing the one sentence of assembly instructions,,,
I mounted the adapter slide, spring, and barrel in about 45 seconds.

I will say no more about that,,,
It was self embarrassing,,,
I almost used a Dremel.

Anyways, even though I didn't have very much time,,,
I oiled the slide and headed to the range.

Long story short I burned through 100 rounds of Federal bulk pack,,,
I was popping away at a water bottle on the 25 yard berm,,,
I was actually hitting it a couple of shots per mag,,,
I kept all of the shots in about a 12-14" pattern.

No jams of any kind,,,
It ran very well and felt solid.

I am a very happy camper,,,
I like to shoot my LC9,,,
Now it's a bit cheaper.

The kit with the two extra mags, tax, and shipping cost me $282.92.

The cheapest 9mm I can buy is $11.95 for 50 rounds,,,
That calculates to .189 or 19 cents per round.

I have a large stock of .22 LR that I bought for about 5 cents per round,,,
$11.95 minus $2.50 for 50 rounds equals $9.45 difference,,,
$282.92 divided by $9.45 equals 29.93.

So I need to shoot right at 30 boxes of 50 or three bricks of my stash,,,
And I've gotten to pull the trigger enough times to pay for the adaptor with the savings.

That was a waste of a perfectly good mathematical justification.

Truth be known I simply wanted to buy the adaptor kit,,,
It pleases me to no end to have this versatility.

Especially since this LC9 is fast becoming my go-to gun.

People rate the trigger of an LC9 as terrible,,,
I guess I don't know what a good trigger feels like.

I have no problem getting used to the trigger on my pistol,,,
It took several boxes of Tulammo 9mm to do it,,,
But I'm now perfectly happy with it's pull.

If the short session I had today is typical of the performance,,,
I have a feeling that I'm going to love using my new toy.

Here is how it comes packaged.

Note the small one-line assembly instruction,,,
If you miss it you can't put it together

Here is the pistol with the adaptor.
She's also wearing a Pachmayr Grip Sleeve.

Note that the rimfire magazine lacks the pinky extension,,,
It's no big deal but I wish it had the extension.

I have small hands so I like small frame pistols,,,
But the grip on the LC9 was narrow even for my hands.

I saw this Pachmayr grip sleeve for $13.95,,,
It looked like it padded the swell a bit,,,
So I decided to give it a try.

Man what a difference,,,
It took what was an okay grip,,,
And turned it into a grip that is perfect for me.

So now I can practice cheaply,,,
With a gun that fits my hand perfectly.

I am officially a happy camper. :D
