Gun Battle Breaks Out Between Family, Intruders
1 Invader Dies, Another Injured During Attempted Invasion

    POSTED: 7:38 am CDT June 27, 2005

HOUSTON -- One man died and another was hospitalized after a family caught several men invading their northeast Houston home Monday morning, police told Local 2.

Police said four men tried to break into the home on Lakewood and Jensen drives when the homeowner and his family arrived at about 1:30 a.m.

Investigators said a gun battle broke out between the family and the group of intruders.

Authorities said the intruders fled to a home on Willie and Terrell, where one of the men died from a gunshot wound. Another man was transported to Ben Taub Hospital. His condition was not released.

The remaining two intruders have not been found.

I hope to find a sweet lady who will lay down a base of suppressive fire,

while I take out the point targets.

SWM seeks slim, attractive, fit SF for relationship and possible marriage.
You should enjoy long walks on the beach and long walks to the target
on the 300 yard range. Must have good tactical knowledge, preferably
have attended courses at Thunder Ranch or Gunsite. Must have own
aresenal and willingness to share. Prefer good target assessment and suppressive fire abilities. Special boots and trauma plates optional.
Please send photo (of gun collection) along with letter explaining whether
you prefer light and fast or slow and heavy with a reasonable defense
    of your preference.

In this age of fractured disfunctional families, it's nice to see a wholesome family doing something together.

    DigMe,
I would LOVE to put that in the local paper. This being a university town,
    I would probably get picketed.

Sorry boys, I'm already happily married! :neener:
(the only other thing lacking from that list in my resume would be the TR/Gunsite training, and I'm looking to remedy that!) :D

Light 'n fast with a rifle (just about anything sub-30cal except for Enfields)
Slow & heavy with handguns a la my 1911's in .45acp.

    hehehe...

Let's just hope it doesn't turn out that the "family" was defending its meth lab from a rival gang!

That said, I'm already training my fiancee to cover my six!

My wife was a moderate anti when we met - she loves her CZ 2075 RAMI 9mm, and is quite good with it. She also loves her Yugo SKS....
Kudos to the family, ditto on hoping it's not gang on gang, but even so, one scumbag removed permanantly, and another jailed. The other two probably haven't quit running yet....
