SECOND AMENDMENT SISTERS MAKES A BIG SPLASH AT FOURTH OF JULY PARADE!

Today, the Second Amendment Sisters were represented in the Fourth of July parade in Lakeway, TX. Even though we had a steady drizzle throughout the parade, literally thousands of men, women and children lined the 3 1/2 mile parade route. We were warmly welcomed by all, and even received scattering applause.

It's traditional in the parade here for the entrants to toss candy to the kids. Well, we came up with the bright idea to toss water pistols to them. We spent an evening pasting SAS stickers on hundreds of these water guns, wondering all the time if we were going to get run out of town---one never knows what might happen in today's climate--LOL!

We were more or less mobbed along the entire route, even the adults wanted our guns. So many people gave us thumbs up, made great comments, and told us to keep up the good fight.

All in all, it restored my faith a bit in people. It's great to see that there are still folks who understand and cherish their rights.

I know "basil" pretty well, and she is truly a card. It doesn't surprise me a bit that she was in on this, but I wish she had told me about it beforehand, so I could have gotten over ther to watch...

Fortunately Lakeway is a conservative enclave. It keeps the fruits and nuts from Austin from migrating west. Try that is Austin and you would probably have rocks thrown at you by the peace loving liberals.
