I just ran across this news story in my nightly internet "scan" for news. Below is merely the first two sentences of a news story, which was apparently published by the N.R.A. I hope this is the proper forum to post it on THR
Even though I did read the entire article, it gets extremely complex the farther you go, so any attempt to fully understand what it's all about is definitely going to require some careful studying. I haven't tried the link yet, but the URL appears to look OK, so I feel fairly certain it will take you directly to the story.
Commonly used and unregulated internet discussions and videos about guns and ammo could be closed down under rules proposed by the State Department, amounting to a "gag order on firearm-related speech," the National Rifle Association is warning. In updating regulations governing international arms sales, State is demanding that anyone who puts technical details about arms and ammo on the web first get the OK from the federal government — or face a fine of up to $1 million dollars and 20 years in jail.
