St. Johns:

Let's re-read it, shall we?

200 years from now, I want their children's children's
children's children to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear
the sounds of jet engines overhead because their legends tell of
fire from the sky.

I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in
the earth, shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of
diesel engines because the tales of their ancestors talk about
metal monsters crawling over the earth, spitting death and
destruction.

I want their mothers to be able to admonish them
with "If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for
you", and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering
obesience.

I want the annihilation to be so complete that their
mythology will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern
gods from across the sea — the powerful 'Mericans — destroyed
their forefathers' wickedness.

The only words that could be interpreted (or twisted, rather) as "vaguely racist" are the words "Pale Destroyers."

This is more an observation and statement of fact than anything else: We are white, they are not. So? We are not killing them because of their skin color, contrary to what some leftists will tell you.

We are killing them because they are waging war against us.

Read the first paragraph again:

200 years from now, I want their children's children's
children's children to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear
the sounds of jet engines overhead because their legends tell of
fire from the sky.

This implies very clearly that there would be at least some of them left.

Maybe racist wasn't the right word, anyway I prefaced it with 'vaguely' as in 'it gives the impression of'.

"I want the annihilation to be so complete...etc". Annihilation huh? Yet you seek to excuse this with the statement:

"This implies very clearly that there would be at least some of them left."

Well that's ok then.

"We are killing them because they are waging war against us." - who is? All of the Middle East? All of Iraq? All of Falujah? Read this carefully, RealGun wrote it

These renegades are likely the type of people who enjoyed working for Saddam and need to be purged by one means or another. One of their mantras is that Americans are the enemy, and their propaganda influences many people in Iraq.

Now that is probably all true. He is clearly referring to select group. You weren't. Try doing this mental exercise - take this sentence:

'One of their mantras is that Americans are the enemy, and their propaganda influences many people in Iraq'

...and replace the word 'Americans' with the word 'Arabs' and the word 'Iraq' with 'America/the West' - you get this:

'One of their mantras is that Arabs are the enemy, and their propaganda influences many people in America/the West'

You see? Probably not, but at least I tried.

Xenophobic, hate-filled, bloodthirsty nonsense would be a better description of that poem/diatribe/trash you posted however you seek to explain it or justify it.

Right.

Whenever someone disagrees with you, its because they've been spoon-fed "propaganda."

Through the internet, I have access to any source of information in the world.

The same is most definitely NOT true of most people in the middle east, including iraq.

The only information they get is from their friends, relatives, terrorist supporters, and other such unbiased sources of information.

Who's being fed propaganda again?

Can we stay focused on the War on Terror and not the race or religion of those involved.

I am very white and European on the outside but have very ethnically diverse blood on the inside. From my own heritage I know you can't judge a book by its cover. In addition, my daughters are of Asian Pacific decent and some of my best friends are Indian and Chinese.

Am I racist? In action and commitment...No. In knee jerk emotional reaction...sometimes. Race and religion are easy excuses and even easier targets.

The key for me is to react less and act with commitment and forethought more.

And just as every professing Christian is not the same (some radical terrorists, some passive apologists) neither are all Muslims the same. Lets keep our eyes focused on the War on Terror and not the race or religion of those involved. When they use their religious/race affiliation to justify their actions then address that argument and not the religion/race as a whole.

No drjones, I never said you had been spoonfed propaganda, I said you posted propaganda. The post called for blood and destruction. That's the long and short of it.

As for having all the information available to you - sometimes the phrase 'can't see the wood for the trees' is applicable, see Iraq and al-Qaeda thread. You're a young man and you're angry about terrorism and the atrocities displayed the other day, I understand that. An eye for an eye makes us no better though, we have to deal with the situation calmly and cut out the dead wood, not burn the forest down.

A comment I fully agree with, nice post.
