I have a Peitta 1851 44 cal i bought from emf company years ago. I was wondering if a 36 cal 3 1/2 trapper barrel from a urberti 1862 police would fit it and a 36 cal cylinder would fit.
You might luck out; but, more than likely not. Uberti to Uberti or Pietta to Pietta usually works with minimal fitting; but crossing manufacturers usually doesn't work.
well i see at VTI they have a 1860 3" snub nose barrel in 44 cal in pietta. I was told in the past though it has been some time that the barrel would fit. i may try that.
This one should work...
A345/CFSH36 Pietta Confederate Sheriff Barrel (Round) .36cal with Sight & Loading Lever Retainer (1851 Navy) Check Stock US$125.00
mine is a 44 cal. the cyklinder i have will work. the reason i wanted to go to 36 is the original navys where 36 and not 44. but i can get a 1860 44 barrel and just convert. but it will all take time to many bills to pay right now. lol
The links I gave you were for the Pietta, anyways. I REALLY shouldn't post when I'm tired. VTI Gunparts has the widest selection of Uberti parts out there.
i ordered a 1851 from emf years ago. i got it in 44 only to realize later that the orginals in the 1800's were 36 cal. but i don't mind the 44 because i can put a 1860 barrel on it. this hole thing started lol becausr i've been looking into shorter barrel versions. 3 inch to 3 1/2. i've cut my 51 barrel down to 3 inches and had it lathed for squaring but putting sight has always been the problem. tired of working on it lol thought screw it just buy another barrel.
