Will a barrel made by Uberti for a 1858 Remington fit a Pietta frame?
Actually I have been wondering a few things similar like what thread pattern is used in these modern replicas and back in the old days what did they use if any thread pattern? and if they used a standard thread pattern do they still use it now?

OK. Here we go...If the question is "are the barrels interchangeable, as in identical?" The answer is no. If the question is "are the threads the same on both barresl?" the answer is yes, at least since 2014.

Metric system uses "pitch" to call out what we would call "threads per inch", "tpi". Except Metric "pitch" is in mm's. Metric "pitch" is the distance between adjacent threads, in mm's. The "pitch" on both Uberti & Pietta barrels of recent mfg. is 1. As in 1mm.

I have a Pietta 1858 Rem, coded AZ (1990), w/a barrel thread pitch of .85mm. Don't know when they switched over to 1mm.

An Uberti barrel will screw into a Pietta frame, of recent mfg, but the Uberti barrel is way too short in front of the cylinder. Could prolly be machined to fit. Including machining the shoulder back & cutting more threads on the barrel sleeve.

A Pietta barrel will screw into an Uberti frame, and is a bit too long in front of the cylinder. This is an advantage, since the Pietta barrel can easily be fitted to the proper flash gap. Problem is, the threads on the Pietta barrel terminate before the barrel shoulder makes contact w/the Uberti frame. So ya gotta cut more threads on the barrel sleeve.

I have both Pietta & Uberti 1858's, and have reworked both. Thread measurements were done w/metric thread gauges.

Hope this helps.
Kindest Regards,
Doak

Very, Very interesting! I applaud your timely response.

By How much is "way too short". in photos of the two Rems the frame and barrels appear to be pretty close.

my motivation is in fitting a 16" barrel from a Uberti onto a Pietta frame as I can not seem to find a 16+ inch barrel for a Pietta.

Uberti barrel into a Pietta frame: Uberti barrel in front of the cylinder is ~ 1/16" (.062") too short. Yup, it is pretty close, maddenly so.
