A few months back I purchased a Uberti Hombre in .45 Colt. I got one of those $250.00 new ones purchased on Gunbroker.com. Maybe I'm making too much over this, but the cylinder seems sloppy when in the gun. Lock-up is not as tight as my Uberti Cattleman. I measured the cylinder pin OD and got .2485 - .2490". The cylinder bore is .253". That's .004 - .0045" clearance, I'm sure of my numbers as I am a QC Inspector in a precision machine shop. Is that excessive? Will this effect longevity or accuracy of the gun? It seems to shoot OK, although I'm not grouping as well as I'd like. Not as good as my Cattleman. Thanks in advance for your help.

what does your cattleman measure? that does sound a little loose but as you know in manufacturing alot of times one of shortcuts to produce a lowed priced part is to use more liberal tolerances . I'd be interested to see how it compares to your other gun.

Uberti Hombre- loose cylinder

If I remember correctly, it was something .001 - .002" clearance on the Cattleman. I measured it a couple of months ago. I called Stoeger (Uberti's distributer) a few times. I never spoke to a human except once, and she directed me to a voice mail, and that guy never returned the call. I sat there most of the morning trying to get a hold of someone. Their customer service sucked
