Ughh, Arizona's draw system blows!

Again, I got passed over for Elk. Even got passed over for the HAM (handgun, archery, muzzleloader) Javalina hunt. :banghead:

Got drawn for a deer hunt that was #5 of 5 on our draw application. Only get to rifle hunt 6 days this year. Oct 27-1 Nov for mule deer bucks only.

Guess I'll be bowhunting the rest of the year. Can only kill 1 deer per year so if I stick the big fellah I've been hunting the last 2 years I'll be done.

Only good thing going now is that I have 3 bonus points for Elk this year. We put in for Bull and Cow hunts and still nothing. It'll be my luck that I'll get orders this fall and wont be able to put in for next years Elk hunt.

God, I need to move to a better big game hunter friendly state!

How did you figure out the draw results?
The G&F website says results are not available until the 30th, and mailings go out by the 28th.
My buddys credit card got charged so he knows he got somthing, I used checks and have not seen them cashed yet.

I didnt get drawn for deer:banghead:, but I did get drawn for elk!

i got drawn for buck deer, cow elk, and my dad got turkey and antelope as well.......hell be one busy sucker this fall. Im so damn happy i could almost cry! My roomate guides hunts in my elk unit so i am hoping i can get him to go out with me on opening weekend and help me put another notch in my 270.

The draw really, seriously blows goats. Myself and 4 other guys (5 hunters total) put in for the Oct 20-26 Unit 9 cow elk hunt (46% draw success last year). In spite of 3 of us having bonus points (admittidly only 1 each - from hunter's safety) only 1 of us got drawn, and that was the 45 year old guy that's never hunted and doesn't even own a rifle yet! Mind you, I'm very happy for him, but I though for sure we'd get at least 2 and maybe 3 tags. None of us got drawn for deer, though that wasn't much of a surprise given that we'd only put in for a rut whitetail hunt. December was the only time a couple of us could afford the time for deer hunting.

If you don't draw the cow or bull permit, can you not even hunt at all? At least here in WA, if we don't draw a cow or bull (the drawing system blows here too) we can hunt spikes where we hunt in the Eastern side of the state.

dont get drawn=archery deer season. Thats pretty much the pn;y big game you can do if you dont get drawn/

Nope! Not even archery. Everything is a draw for elk and deer firearms. You can buy over the counter tag for deer. I took a turkey this spring so I couldn't put in for the fall draw.

Will put in for a spring turkey permit though and hopefully the 3 bonus points I have for elk will help us next year.

got passed over for everything. didn't get deer, elk, turkey, or javelina. dad got drawn for turkey, so i will probably tag along for the camping.

this makes it year number #5 without deer or elk.
