If he pushed the guy over the edge intentionally, thats a bit shady.

But if the guy took a dive accidentally, that's his own fault.

Also, I love how there are stairs leading up to the first floor window. :D

That poor intruder. I hope he is okay. They should lock that evil apartment owner up forever. Who does he think he is anyway...defending himself like that? If he had just curled up in a ball and waited for the proper authorities to save him that nice intruder would still be on the street doing his job.

:barf:

On a serious note, the apartment owner IS facing a life sentence for this according to the article. In Britain you can run from the police in your car at high speed and end up with nothing more than a suspended license but if you defend yourself in any way, you can end up in prison. How messed up is that?

I remember reading an article from Britain where a man had found a .22LR round on the ground outside a shop. It probably ended up there after hitching a ride in the tread of someone's boot from the countryside. His first instinct? You guessed it, he called the police. They treated it like a crime scene. I wonder if the average Brit knows just how helpless they have allowed themselves to become. I really do feel sorry for the British.

Pardon? How is that different from perforating a home invader with buckshot--other than that the homeowner had to engage in hand-to-hand combat to end the threat, and thereby exposing himself to further risk?

His government denied him proper defensive implements, and he still got screwed. Some days I'm darnright thankful to be an American.

What do you expect from a country that is trying to ban kitchen knives? Now, they'll have to ban windows, too.

I meant if the guy was already on his way out in all haste, when using deadly force wouldn't really be justified.

I understand where you're coming from, though. I was just thinking about a somewhat post confrontation scenario. :)

Unbelievable, Let this be a lesson to us all. There are folks in this country and in our government who would enact similar laws and worse tomorrow if given the chance.

Wow they allowed themselves to create the absolute most back wards screwed up country in the world. How can people be that irrational how can you simply be that illogical? I mean it just out right doesnt make any sense i feel like smacking my head on a brick wall!
