Why do I keep pimping the Saiga forum? Because while THR is an excellent general 2A forum, the guys over at the Saiga forum eat, breath and excrete Saiga all day long. There is a massive amount of info over there, to be gained with the use of the search feature.

This is my 223 Saiga. Notice that you have to remove some material from the upper lip of the handguard on each side. It's not hard.
Other than removing the material from the upper lip of the handguard, no other modifications are needed to make it work. I have not tried it yet on my 308's, but I'm hearing that they have thicker barrels that the Ultimak clamp's won't fit around.

Yep, the guys at the shop have a few Saigas... by shop I mean the Ultimak shop in Moscow Idaho... All kinds of neat toys there.
