I just went to my local gunshop to pick up some cash from a recent sale of a rilfe. While there I was looking in the case for prices on Kimbers new Tactical series. I ran across an Ultra CDP that was pretty cheap for brand new. I asked to see it and it looked NIB. Steve (shop owner) then told me it was on consignment because one of his gunstore commandos wanted something else after never shooting it. I was amazed because I wholeheartedly believed it hadn't been fired at all.
So I know have the opportunity to purchase a like NIB Ultra CDP for $750 from a master kimber dealer.
I wanted a CDP for a while since I love my compact. Then the Tactical came along with the new tactical extractor. The other thing I am worried about is that I have a shooting buddy who is thinking about ditching his ultra compact because of feed problems. I say it is because he is trying to use 10rd mags in an ultra compact.
1.) Is the tactical better than a CDP?
2.) Is there trouble with the ultra compact?
