Ok i know i just bought a CZ not too long ago but while at my store a buddy of mine stopped by to just say hi. Well i know he likes 1911s so i wanted to show him the SA Range Officer we had just got in. He loved it but since he is always on a tight budget he decided to look at the Umarex R100 that we have in the case. So i showed it to him and he liked it but decided to wait till he could get something better. Well after he left i decided to get a feel for the R100. Now i am not a 1911 guy, in fact i do not like all metal guns all that much but i know a lot of people love these guns and from the ones i have shot they are starting to grow on me.
My question is, since Umarex took over the importation of these guns, has the quality improved over what IAC was cranking out? I know most of you will say i am better off going with a RIA over the R100 but i get this gun for way less than an RIA because of my discount. Would it be worth getting or should i follow my friends example and just hold out for something i know will work?
