I've seen Remington's UMC line of ammo in Bi Mart (a local discount chain for those not in the Northwest) in a 250-round box for about $49.00. Is this stuff any good?

It's alright. A lot of people said it was dirtier or had feeding problems but it acted the same as winchester white box and american eagle.

No problems with any of them. I was going to start getting it at bi mart again just so I wouldn't have to deal with walmart. The one up the street from me on 122nd & Halsey always has 9mm and .45 in stock. Great deals on 22 ammo there as well.

Seems rather expensive to me.

250 rounds at Wal Mart would only be $27.40 (@$10.96 per 100 round Value Pack)

You could get 400 rounds at Wally World for under $44 vs 250 for $49

Sounds like you're comparing .45 to 9mm.

The 100 round 9mm at wally world is 10.96. I think the .45 is 15-19. The wally world ammo would work out to being around the same price I.

As stated above the price works out to be the same as the win white box.. but last 2 boxes of umc i tried i had 4 duds in each box

I have used UMC for a long time and......

have never, never, had a problem with either the 9mm or the 45 ACP. I have probably shot several thousand rounds through my guns with never a miss. Been good for me! Good shooting;)

Not too long ago, I put 500 through a 1911 with zero functional problems, good accuracy and very fine consistency over the chronograph. One thing that did disturb me about the yellow box .45 ball was that there was little or no effective case tension either from crimp or sealant. The bullets would shove down into the case after being chambered several times.

With examples of these rounds that I carried, I ran them into my taper crimp die.
