Umm... replica supressor

I see them quite a bit on rifles that should be short, but have 16" barrels to make them legal. Some people use fake cans to make them 'look cooler' i guess.

On a pistol? bleh. Actually, I'm not a fan of fake anything, on a pistol or rifle

Did I read that price correctly? I was thinking that the thing went for less than that new.

And that fake can just isnt worth that much.

it looks "tactical" though....

it's kind of like putting a wing and body kit on a Honda Civic....

That's okay. But for less than $1000 more you can get the real thing. Check out http://www.subguns.com/classifieds/index.cgi?db=nfafirearms&website=&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=6964&query=retrieval

I keep thinking that I need to get a fake can for my MAC10. I live in Missouri where an individual can own a machinegun, but not silencers (try to figure that one out). The MAC is much more controllable when you have something screwed onto the end to hold onto.

A bit like those fake selector switches and the like. The owner could spend a lot of time trying to convince the cops that the fake really is a fake. Plus, since it does reduce the sound a little (over the original barrel), it COULD be considered a REAL suppressor.
