You can always count on "Death to the NRA" Jack Lessenberry to write a rabid anti-rights column. Here's his latest.

Now for the truth about the murderous rampage at Virginia Tech last week. We asked for it. We got what we deserve by virtue of our utterly insane gun laws. Our demented or cowardly politicians of both parties made it possible — make that certain — by being afraid to do anything other than kiss the asses of the National Rifle Association and the rest of the gun lobby.

"I hope there's not a rush to do anything," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat who is supposedly into yoga. "We need to take a deep breath." That's what passes for liberal leadership these days.

Harry knows he doesn't have to worry. Nobody is going to take any guns away from anybody. Virginia Tech will happen again and again and again.

It's actually quite humorous since he's so frustrated that gun grabbing is a losing issue.

BBWWUUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA!

Man, this dude's righteous, hysterical impotence is quite laughably palpable.

I guess he would rather see hysterical shrieking and paranoia as opposed to a deep breath and thought.

Send this one to him.

"Are you now, or have you ever been a member of ... the National Rifle Association??!!!"

"You are?? You have been?? TO THE OVENS, VIA THE GAS SHOWERS!!! BRING ON THE MEAT HOOKS!! YOU DIRTY, FILTHY VERMIN MUST BE EXTERMINATED!"

This is precisely the way the left wing anti-guns whackos think.

To bad he didn't find employment as a target holder for flamethrowers instead of journalism. Why is it that several "journalists" would make far better target holders?

If he had stopped there I would agree with him. Our cowardly and stupid politicians did make this rampage possible by virtue of our utterly insane gun laws.

We need to repeal these utterly insane gun laws and allow all legal and mentalty able citizens who want to defend themselves, and their families to own ANY weapon they desire no matter the shape of the stock and grip, the capacity of the magazine (thats a clip to you anti-gun idiots) or the cosmetic similarity to any military arm. In addition, we need to change our utterly insane gun laws and allow said honest citizens to carry any weapon concealed in all 50 states, and especially in the District of Columbia.

One armed teacher or student could have stopped the rampage at VT or at the very least saved the life of that teacher or student, and possibly others around them. Instead, some utterly insane gun law prohibited teachers and students alike from being able to carry a weapon and defend themselves and possibly others.

Perhaps I should send this to him...
"Good sir,
I am a supporter of the constitution, and upon reading your column I wanted to communicate to you certain facts. I was thinking of sending you a copy of the Senate committee investigation back in the 1980s that poured through historical evidence and came to the conclusion that there is a individual right to bare arms in the constitution.

But then I reflected further upon your column and realized that you did not seem too enthusiastic about open discussion, or even rational thinking, from
what you wrote about Senator Reid.

So I have come to the conclusion that trying to discuss facts with you would yield no reward for my efforts, and so I have decided to give you some facts of another kind.

Your hatred of the constitution has been scorned by your fellow Americans. Even the Congress of these here states, controlled by the Democrats who support gun control, have made no real moves on this issue. They had the best moment possible to lead the charge for more gun laws. But they demurred, they did not charge forward as you so wish.

Instead, what has discussion centered on after the shootings? Not on eliminating guns, but on what a good person with a gun could have done to stop these shootings. Does not your blood boil? The people cast down your argument, they tear it out by the root to discard it. In its place they place what you hate; allowing more citizens to carry guns. The people have dug out your foundation against guns; they instead discuss letting people carry guns in your place.

How is it possible, that the country ignores your pleas, that your assertions from some unknown preacher carry no weight? It is because the people are against you; you have positioned yourself against the great mass of the public. Some few may side with you, but they hold less power than in older times. No longer can they pass an assault weapons ban; their power has been cut down, torn from them. How is this? The people see gun control as a sham; a toothless lion, a security guard who flees in time of trouble.

Let me repeat that of fundamental importance; you are set against the public. They have no taste for great and glorious gun control laws. Your train has been stopped as it neared the top; it is beginning to move backwards. Around the nation, gun laws are getting relaxed, the will of anti-gun city councils sundered from their power by preemption laws. Every year more people apply for and more people legally carry firearms with them.
And this shows you as a small sand castle against a rising tide. One lone voice, devoid of charisma, power, or reach, cannot hope in a thousand years to set back the sea that is America.

Your foes are more numerous, better organized, and fiercer. Every year they muster more compelling reasons and more supporters, striking down your emotion driven yells in the public arena. You have been exposed, your arguments stripped from you, shown to be lacking. More guns are made, bought, and used every year. You have been defeated. America has sampled gun control and found it to be wanting, and so spat it out. You have no power to set back the tide, nor to hold out while it washes over you. Your children, your children's children, and their children after that will yet grow up in an America that recognizes the right to keep and bare arms."

Phew...turned out a bit longer than I expected....

Nothing that comes out of Lessenberry's mouth surprises me. I honestly believe the guy hates America, the Constitution, and all that they stand for. He really needs to be committed in order to deal with his many phobias and irrationalities. My .02

My favorte line is when he quotes the priest turned columnist, that "guns should only be in the hands of the police and military".

I believe someone already tried that solution in Europe back in the 1930's and again in the USSR.

But of course this time it would be different because the control of the police and military would be in the hands of his friends, benevolent and paternal socialists like Hillary and Barack.

And of course they would only use that force for good ... never for evil.
