Hi! This my first post in a while, or maybe ever. I have an account made but didnt even remember having one!
Just wondering if anybody here has ever chronographed Underwood's 9mm +p or +p+ loads out of a carbine barrel such as a Beretta CX4 or Kel Tec Sub 2000. It seems it might rival full power .357 magnum 125 gr. velocities from a 16" barrel.
I know 9mm doesnt gain much in a carbine barrel compared to other rounds, but fot example Underwood has their 9mm 124 gr. +p+ moving at 1298 ft/s from a Glock 19, this was a five shot average from TNoutdoors9.
Out of a carbine barrel, do you think this load could reach 1450 ft/s or beyond? As you may well know Remington had and still has a 125 gr. .357 magnum round advertised at 1450 ft/s using a semi jacketed hollow point. Supposedly this is one of the .357 loads that obtained great respect from its effectiveness in actual street shootings.
I would think the Underwood load might be very desirable if one where to be using a 9mm carbine for any type of defense. Thanks for the help!
