The M1D I got a few years ago was never issued since it was converted. Test fired, yes. The rifle is like brand new. It is my most accurate Garand too.....chris3

Yes refinished ,rebuilt rifles will look unfired to the untrained eye

Untrained eye???? I attended Trinidad St Jr College, one of the best gunsmith colleges in the country. I was a licensed gunsmith for 12 years and a C&R collector for 9 years. No M1D was made new at the factory. They are all rearsenaled.....chris3
