Hi all! Im new to this site and new to reloading. Ive recently purchased a Rock Chucker Supreme kit and am going through and cleaning everything in order to get started reloading. I am having trouble removing the measuring screw from the cylinder on the Uniflow dispenser. I read another post on here that I believe mentioned having to push it up into the hopper and remove it that way, is this correct? Thought I would ask the experts before I break out the hammer :D

Thanks in advance!

The ONLY way it comes apart. While you have it out, polish the top with some 400 emery paper. Put it back together and run a little powdered graphite through it. Make a baffle for it from aluminum can. You can search THR for the template. If mostly reloading pistol, get the pistol cylinder - they usually come with the rifle one.

Mine-bought 30 or so years ago- does not require going through the hopper. Just find a wrench that fits the hex head on the bushing that the metering screw is screwed into. Remove the bushing and metering screw as an assembly. Nothing goes out through the hopper. Then the drum (my name for it) comes out the side of the frame. I sometimes have to remove the drum and clean it to free up the operation of the powder measure.

Thanks for the help! It does come out through the hopper...apparently it was a little hung up on something inside and I just needed to give it a little tap and it popped out. I did get the plans for the baffle and do plan on making one prior to use. Now I just have to get rid of all of the grease and Ill be ready to go!

Thanks Again!
Joe

Mines 30+ years old the large metering screw has to go out thru the top the small one can come out the bottom. If you are loading handgun cartridges I would get the small rotor and metering screw. They used to come with both
