WARNING, THE FOLLWING LOAD INFORMATION IS WELL ABOVE PUBLISHED MAXIMUM

I've been loading .357 mag with H110 / 296 for a really long time and when I did a recent work up using 158 gr. Gold Dots things changed, but not necessarily for the bad.

My usual load consists of 16.2 grs. of H110 or 296 and is as expected, very flashy, or flame throwing if you will. Well since I haven't ever had any pressure signs with H110 / 296 with 158 gr. bullets at charges between 16.2 and the charge tested last night, I continued working up. For all practical purposes, just to see how far I could go before seeing some initial signs that I am at maximum, my work up took me to 18.2 grs. which I tested last night, at midnight of course, and they didn't throw flames and were in fact only produced just a very light flash? I fired 6 rounds and the brass was very clean and no signs what so ever of having reached a maximum charge. I was actually very pleased with this load compared to my usual 16.2 gr. charge. I'm now wondering if it is actually possible to get too much H110 into a .357 mag. case using a 158 gr. JHP. We'll see, as I'm going to continue moving up in .1 gr. increments, and I'll keep ya all informed.

My 125 gr. JHP loads are at 23.0 grs. and those look like a flame thrower in every aspect. Although pressure signs do show initial signs to not go any higher, if it is possible to get more in the case that is.
