OK, so here’s the situation. I purchased my G19 two years ago the very day I received my CCW license. I upgraded some of the internal parts they are as follows.
1. Aluminum Trigger-Smoothes’ out the factory trigger pull and gives better accuracy. The safe action trigger section is twice as wide as the factory part. Trigger is made of 20-24 aircraft aluminum and hard coated to 70 Rockwell.
2. Titanium Striker- Supposed to; Increase accuracy by reducing lock time….Replacement part weights 60% less than original factory part. It’s supposed to be corrosion proof with lifetime warranty.
3. 3.5 Pound Connector- Supposed to; reduce the trigger pull. Replaces the factory trigger part and provides a lighter trigger pull. Increase the accuracy of most shooters by deducing the amount of muzzle movement when pulling the trigger.
4. Titanium Safety Plunger- Supposed to; Helps provide a smoother trigger pull and hence, better accuracy. Reduces the friction of the trigger bar on the safety plunger and deduces the effort needed to pull the trigger.
5. 24/7 Big Dot Tritium Express Set-Helps to acquire center mass faster.
6. Hoag Grip. Added the grip sleeve. (This I think I’ll keep.)

I just sold my G 19 to a friend, and I’m buying a G 32 from a LEO who only took it to the range twice. The G 32 has True Glow night sites already on it, and it comes with the Glock case, gun lock, mag loader, and 4 extra clips. My question is do I spend the money to upgrade the internal parts that I did with my G 19. The G 19 was my first real handgun, I had a ruger .22 that I used for a sidearm when hunting. I don’t know if any of the parts I changed really helped or was I just an overeager first time gun buyer who didn’t have the range time in to understand my weapon. After two years of putting two hundred rounds of ammo through my G 19 (a week). I can say with a little pride, that I am a very good shot. I shoot both indoors and at an outdoor range. My groupings are right where I want them. So back to the big question, do any of the parts listed above warrant the replacement of there factory counterparts? Anyone owning a G 32 have any advice or comments about the G 32 that would be helpful? Thanks for any helpful input, or comments.

The person is always more important than the equipment. With that much trigger time on the heavily modified G19...I'd shoot this one stock for a while. You might be surprised how little performance you are leaving on the table by not modifying it. After shooting it stock for a while decide on which of those mods if any, you still think are really worth it.

On top of all of the above...

This is a different pistol so it will take getting used to no matter what you do. Therefore I would say take it to the range a goodly number of times before you decide anything.

I personally have only modified my Glocks (a G17 and a G19) only by adding an extended mag release, extended slide release, and an extended "takedown release" (I forget the real name for the part). Oh, and I too put the Hogue sleeve on it. I was told (this makes sense to me) that using any additional after market parts decreases reliability. I don't know how true that is but I've had several thousand rounds through them and have had only one failure to eject (was early on so I assume it was my grip) and no other malfunctions at all.

and it comes with the Glock case, gun lock, mag loader, and 4 extra clips.

The first upgrade you need to make is you need to get some magazines instead of clips. This will drastically improve reliability.

::chuckle::

It's the shooter, not the arrow.

You may be a good shot, but see how the gun performs in its box stock state. You might have become much better that the little performance you gained from your previous G19, that shooting it stock will have comparable performance to before.

Well, I'm not much of a tinkerer anyways... so my opinion might be biased. I remember modifying my G23 back in the day, 3.5#, night sights, steel guide rod, different recoil spring etc etc.... Ended up just polishing the internals ($.25 trigger job) and tossing everything else except the NS. It was perfectly fine the way it was from the factory. (did I just say that a Glock was perfection? :eek: )

YMMV, FWIW, JMO.

I leave my carry guns completely stock and as lawyer proof as possible. That said, I've kept my Glock stock & just love it
