I took the little nines out for a second session today and there was a noticable change in both guns.
First off, no failures of any kind by either gun. Both guns locked back after the last round 100% and both fed, fired and ejected both the 115 grn & 130 grn stuff 100%. Quite different from the first outing.
The trigger on the CM9 loosened up a little becoming far superior to the trigger on the LC9. I learned to "stage" the trigger on the LC9, making it slightly easier to deal with but by the end of the day, the trigger and better sights on the Kahr had won me over. I am not knocking the Ruger, it's a great little gun but the combination of better trigger and sights just made the CM9 faster for me to get hits on target. I kept my thumb far away from the meat slicer slide on the CM9 and when I cleaned it, I took some 400 grit wet and dry to that side of the slide. I hope the now smoothed edge will alow me to move my thumb up for a higher grip.
Now I have another quandry.....Does anyone own the MK9? If so how does it shoot? Is it better than the CM9?

I own a MK9. I have not tried a PM9 or CM9, but I have compared it to a CW9. The triggers on these Kahrs are basically the same, from what I can tell. I found the MK9 to be a little nicer to shoot, because of the extra heft from the stainless steel frame--the CW was a little snappier. I think the MK is overall a better range gun for that reason.

I don't have any solid basis for this, but I think that the stainless steel might be a little less persnickety. I know that typically Kahr says that you should always use the slide release, not to slingshot the slide with your hand...but I've almost always slingshotted the slide, and have never seen any problem with jams. (I've heard the opposite with people who have the polymer-framed Kahrs--you always have to hit the slide release.)

Despite the size, it's a bit tough to make it a dedicated pocket carry pistol. I started out intending to pocket carry, and it's gradually migrated to being a pistol that I carry OWB.

MK9

Thanks for the reply JK. I just got a CM9 for carry and my wife wants it. While perusing the Kahr site I noticed the MK9... I really like metal guns. I'm trying to justify the MK9 for pocket carry but the little voice inside my head tells me that it will be relegated to IWB like my S&W Airweight. The Airweight isn't too heavy, just too bulky.
So my question is: Do you carry the MK9 OWB due to it's weight, or is it physically to large? Thanks.

Mostly because of weight. As far as pocket pistols go, the MK isn't exactly the smallest by any stretch, but the weight is more of an issue for pocket carry. It's more like a pocket-able pistol. It's basically the same size as your CM (actually the MK is a hair smaller than the CM,) so if size isn't an issue for you there, it won't be on the MK, either.

Mind you, I have carried it in a pocket all day long sometimes. It's not like it's impossible, but you do notice it. Cargo pants or shorts work best.

Im going to the range on mon or tues. I want to take a look and rent them both if i still cant decide which gun to purchase. I had a question for both weapons.. Will they both shoot "+P" ammo. Thanks

+P ammo

My owner's manual doesn't say, however the Kahr website states that Kahr pistols are rated for +P and makes no distinction between poly or metal. Whatever I decide to carry in any pistol I shoot 100 rounds through first to test reliability.
