If you go to http://www.naaminis.com and then scroll to the bottom of that home page in the middle where it says "Sandy's Soapbox", they have 2 photos of the proto-type.

Also if you haven't heard, and are interested, Corbon has announced they will soon begin research and devolpment on a 32 H&R mag round.

Hmm. Heavier than the double action S&W .32 H&R Magnum J-frames. The S&W 432PD weighs just 13.5 oz.

And is this gun much smaller than a J-frame? I can't tell from the pic. That is an innovative grip design.

The news that Cor-Bon is working on a .32 Mag round is excellent.

There have been several of us on the NAA forum that have brought up the weight as being too heavy. Sandy has made mention previously they were looking into using different materials to keep the weight down, but nothing about that recently.

If you go to the archives for "Sandy's Soapbox" and read the Dec 05 one Sandy has the dimensions listed there. But they are:

Barrel..............1 5/8"
Overall length...5 1/4"
Height............3 5/8"
Width.............1 1/8"

S&W J (magnum) frame is:

Barrel.............1 7/8"
Overall length..6 1/4"
Height...........4"
Width............1 1/4"

So the NAA 32mag is smaller than the J-frame in every aspect, except weight. Hopefully that will change and they will be able to bring the weight down by at least 3+ ounces.

Are you going to have to remove the cylinder to load it like the mini revolvers, or is there going to be a loading gate? (I didn't see it). What is the "lever" on the right side that that looks like a cylinder release.

Its supposed to be a break-top design, but its hard to tell from the photos.

Maybe the photos are meant to be that way and keep us guessing to some degree?

Should sell like hotcakes. N.A.A. sells quality firearms, and their service is first class. Sign me up for one..............Make that two:) :) :)

Looks interesting, but not quite as cool-looking as I had imagined it. I was kind of envisioning something Webleyish or Merwin Hulbertish.

It doesn't look much like a breaktop, did they change that spec?

Of course, all of the above are just cosmetic issues. The main issue will be the compactness and reliability of the design. If it sells well, maybe S&W will finally bring back their little topbreaks, but in modern cartridges.

For carry in a trouser pocket, 16 oz is just fine with me; the smaller cylinder size and overall length are much more important elements. I plan to get one ASAIPR*.

Ok....I may be the only one...but...thats ugly. The trigger guard looks like a toy. The barrel looks like it came off an L frame Smith. And, how about shaving a few more ounces by fluting the cylinder. I love NAA products, but, that doesn't do it for me. I would hope that is truly just a put together shop sample and the production one has alot better lines.

I think the overall look of the gun is just fine. I just don't like the weight. This is also a very early mock-up of it, the finished product will look different. Sandy has also said they will be doing everything they can to keep the weight down (within reason and functionality).

I thought the grip was a little weird - kind of strange bumps. I would prefer if they went to a rubber grip like the slip on one that they have for the 22 Mag/LR guns.

Interesting. Hard to tell if it's a breaktop, though.

It looks like a solid frame. But that's just a prototype, remember. It may even have another manufacturer's parts in there, to save manufacturing time and costs. It may not even be capable of being fired. The actual production model will probably look absolutely nothing like that.

Wonder how long for R&D.

The grip angle is extremely odd. Looks to me like it would accentuate recoil. Still I'm not going to say anything disparaging. I love it when manufacturers give teasers on new designs.

oooh, yes, mikey likes.

SGT127: I agree with you with regard to the trigger guard, but like the un-fluted cylinder and barrel.

And yes, it does look like a break-top to me. In the second picture, where the flash isn't washing out the frame, there's a very faint line there where a joint would be. Also, pay attention to the part of the frame even with the center of the cylinder. It appears to have a hinge there with maybe a pin in the non-washed-out image, blown up to 4x.
