I was wrong on previous post. Recently the Brady Campaign upgraded California to 79 of 100 for anti-gun laws. I wasnt aware of the latest laws passed on super tuesday that bumped their score from 72 to 79. Congrats Cali for going your own way and having the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to back ya when you need them!

I voted in CA this election also and saw no gun legislation either. The score boost might be because of Boxer and Brown's elections.

What's scary is that CA's laws are so Draconian, so intrusive, so un-Constitutional and yet they only earn a C grade from the Brady Buffoons.

They always CLAIM that they do not favor total elimination of gun ownership but this is obviously a lie if CA only gets a 79. A 100 would require a total ban.

Springwalk,

Since you are so set on bringing up California and its gun laws and how terrible it would be to live in a stat that is trying to take away our second amendment right. Why don’t you try using that energy to help us Californians fight this evil and win back what has been taken from us. Who’s to say this won’t happen to your state!

Do you really think that those of us that support RTKBA are not doing all we can! Do you not think we vote! Do you not think we write our congress? Come on. :banghead:

Help us! don’t condone us.

Only 79? - You realize that this is a moving scale. If CA managed to check each and every bo the BC put out there, the goal post would move.

Eliminate CCW permits all together? It's already a goal. Move the age to purchase a handgun from 21 to 26 - wait for it - The rationale will be children at 21,21,23 through 26 are just getting out of college and aren't really matured yet; no steady job, they haven't settled down into marriage...

Then there will be calls for pyschological testing and 60-80 hour training classes for ownership, (again) banning any gun with XYZ -. Banning the lending of a gun at the range (already law in NY), banning rentals.

California will never get 100% - that would impy their job is done.

So... write your legislators; take your coworkers, friends and neighbors shooting and get them hooked! Let's make the Bradys long for the days when CCW wasn't national, and when full autos were not being produced.
