Well just checked the latest report cards from Brady. I though my state would rank high on points but just recieved 43 out of 100. Hawaii has some strict laws compared to most states and we only recieved 43 points? California ranked the highest of course with 79 points. Still, I though Cali would have been in the high 80's or low 90's.

Just goes to show the Brady Campaign wants to legislate ownership of guns so much no one will want to bother. I think California would only recieve a perfect score if they banned all guns!

i like using that report card when i check where people live :D

kinda ironic, i yay when i find a state wil low grades...

If the Brady campaign had half a brain they would stop issuing their stupid report cards.

Any simple comparison of gun crime rates to their 'score' shows how ineffective gun control is at preventing crime.

I take it that my beloved Virginia's 18 out of 100 points on the Brady scale is supposed to be a bad thing.

Enquirering minds want to know, where is Texas? I'd prefer not to increase traffic to their site which they might interpret as "support".

My parents are moving from NJ ranked #2 with 63pts to KY with 2 points that's a helluva swing. My father was so suprised when I told him he didn't need his firearms ID card:)

I think it is telling their map where it pinpoints multiple killing takes place some of the states with the most stringent gun control laws are blanketed. Seems they are doing "something about it" and it still happens. shocking that reality business.

Ever notice that the brady grades are almost perfectly inverse to violent crime rates?

Have you ever actually tried to graph that? Because it's not true.

The violent crime statistics are all over the map. At best, there is a weak correlation between gun rights and lower crime.

We got a 16? A lousy stinking 16? Damn it! I mean, I can open carry, no waiting periods, all the "assault weapons" I want, heck I even drag my concealed gun to the nearest university legally, and they still give us a 16 !!!!!!!!

I want a 0 !

Kentucky got 2 out of 100 pts. No surprise there. Most of us take our gun ownership seriously. Only thing that worries me is all of them furriners moving here from up north and the farthest west.:p
