This really isn't that remarkable. This is the same poll that has been floating around for a year and a half now that just keeps getting posted over and over on gun forums. It doesn't appear anywhere on USA Today's main site. No one is reporting on it. Instead a bunch of folks keep circulating it and patting themselves on the back for "winning" when they are doing nothing more than showing other gun guys they can click on the yes button everytime it comes around.
A few weeks ago I got a PM from someone whose life work is to chastise me for closing threads about this poll claiming it is somehow relevant. He claimed he contacted USA Today and got the numbers reset because the evil antis used a computer program to vote. So, we are starting over again with the same poll.
Do us all a favor, instead of voting on this poll and passing it along to your friends, spend 10 minutes typing a note to one of your elected officials and letting him know what is important to you. Spend an hour writing an opinion piece of the local news paper. Take a kid shooting for an afternoon. Each of these things will have a real and lasting effect that this poll will never approach.
