Use a gun in a crime, go to jail

As some of you may have heard, OJ Simpson was found guilty of using a gun in a crime plus some other charges in the Las Vegas Case.

He was found guilty by a Jury of his Peers, accepted by both the Defence and the Prosecutor, and 13yrs to the day, after 13 hours of deliberation, they found him guilty and was remanded to Jail immediately in handcuffs to be sentenced in Dec, IIRC.

The look on his face was priceless, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy..

Made my day, and assured me not to consider using any of my guns in an unlawful manner, especially in Nevada, Las Vegas, as their Judicial system appears intact, non-star-struck, without on-going, live, TV coverage..

Free at last, free at last.. NOT

Justice is bitter-sweet as, IF the crime fits, you must convict..

Enjoy the transition OJ, commit a crime with a knife, or gun, and Justice has a way of coming full circle.. 13, bad luck, years, and 13 hours of jury deliberation, away, to bring the bad luck "home", 5yrs to life, where it belongs.

historically Americans have rooted for the underdog

and felt justice was served when a scumbag finally got what they deserved.
i agree that it is time to feel good.
there will be appeals. but hopefully they will be made from jail, not out on bail

I hope the appeals dont let him out and that justice is finally served in a true federal prison and not some glorified "hotel".

The trial judge already decided that OJ's attorneys can file their appeal, but there will be no bail for the convict. . . It just goes to show you that what goes around comes around . . . Nevada prisons are really not much fun. . . and at 61 years old, he will have to watch his back all the time. Lots of young vatos may be looking to make a name on OJ.

Well, since OJ's notoriety hasn't included drug use and OJ hasn't lived in Washington D.C., and Marion Barry never killed his ex-wife or busted into a hotel room with a gun, it sure looks racist to me.
I can't draw any other parallels between them beyond that. Which means the poster should explain himself or just be assumed to be the ignorant doofus his post makes him out to be.
