Buy the press. If you decide to sell it you'll get your money back easily. I've owned a 550b andit is the most versatile of their product line. Big deal you have to rotate the shell plate yourself, you'll still be able to crank out pistol ammo at 100 rounds every 10-12 min. without breaking a sweat. If the press is grungy looking that's what they make 409,Simple Green or brake cleaner for.

Update.WOW,WOW what a A*****E.Press was advertised for $330 as it sat with the one set of pistol dies and an extra die plate.Went through all the other parts he had and picked out what I was interested in= 3 more die blocks ,3 shelplates(I didn't include the 308 or 223),No other dies ,one extra standard powder measure and the powder dies for the 3 die blocks. He said $600.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!:what: I told him no way,Then I said Okay I'll take the press as it was with the 45ACP Lyman die set. that he had originally for $330.00. He said no he doesn't want to sell it without the other stuff because it would be a bunch of trouble to try and sell individually.
He was sitting there adding up everything and "guessing" what they sold for NEW and that is what he wanted to get for them. Most of his guessing was more than brand new. I told him your an idiot for thinking you can sell used stuff for brand new cost.He said well they are not used that much.:confused:

Not sure I understood what you said about the stuff he was selling separately. If you have need or desire for the separate things, just offer him 330.00 for all of it. Or 300 for the part you want. ***. Just toss out 3 one hundred dollar bills on the bench and say that's all you have. Or he can sit on all his stuff for another 6 months waiting to make 30 bucks. OR, give me his information and I'll do it.)

When dealing with him and I was downstairs where their storage is, I found some things about how they do business, not all of it legal(I think the ATF would be interested in them).Like buying reloading supplies from estate auctions (powder included) and putting it on the shelf as new .By the looks of many of the labels,10-20yr old powder was common.(I looked at the showroom shelf and there some of it was." Hercules" powder for the same price as all the other new ones.
1000 to 2000lbs of jugs of powder, not in cabinets.
I came away from there knowing if you buy something there, it was a c**pshoot if it is acually new, they don't mark anything as used and the old is mixed in with the new, same price on all of it.
As far as the Dillon,it was basically a "bait and switch", buy the press for this price, but you have to buy all the other extras at full retail with it .
I don't buy anything off e-bay ,those "deals" on ebay are a false mindset.Anything I've ever watched, thinking about bidding on,always went higher than I could buy elsware new for less.
