I have a chance to buy a rcbs press with the markings rcbs rc2. There are also 5 rifle die sets and 2 pistol, all rcbs, and a couple of boxes of various odds and ends. My problem is that I already am pretty well set up with a lee classic turret and a lee single stage. If I do purchase this package is $200 a deal?

It depends. I have two single stages (Rock Chuckers) and there are times I wish I had a third. The reloading bench is used by myself and my two boys so it can get busy at times.

Its always good to have a few extra things on hand. I have never had a Lee press but the few things that I have had of Lees don't usually last long, that rock chucker however, will last for ever.

If the dies are in good to excellent condition you should be able to get at least $25 to $30 per set on the Classified board or e-Bay. That would leave you getting the RCBS press for $25. It would even be a better deal if you needed most of the dies, the press and all the stuff in the boxes. You probably won't make much off the deal but I wouldn't think you would lose anything except for time.

I wouldn't buy that package unless I actually wanted all of those dies ... and RCBS dies don't load ammo any better than Lee's. I have a 23 year old RC 2 in perfect condition but if I had to replace it next week I'd get a Lee Classic Cast single stage instead; the CC is a better press overall and its primer catcher actually works!
