Sorry about the price increase. That's too bad.
Yeah, I consider Tom a friend. Some people have different opinions though.
When I rekindled my interest in firearms several years ago I stopped in at his shop. Back then I wasn't too impressed with his tiny little place. Big, organized, well-merchandised stores impressed me more. But after learning a lot more (mostly from here, thanks everyone) I now (usually) know exactly what I want before I hit the stores. So, for me it simply comes down to price.
I used to buy from a guy that sold at gun shows. His prices were fantastic and his selection was unbelieveable. I bought several guns from him. I picked up a business card and realized he didn't have a shop, he just had an FFL and sold out of his garage and at shows. Several months later I was checking out his table and noticed his prices had gone way up. Looked at his new business cards, and sure enough, he had moved into a store front.
So, I don't want anything to change over at Tom's. A one man show keeps the overhead down.
