My son shot in his first practice match this week and did well, using some make shift equipment, he is a south paw and wants to shoot in the future.

Getting left handed stuff is almost a special order but I found a holster in stock. He is shooting a Baer 1911 in 9mm, either single stack or L-10. So far I am considering the following: and was interested to hear if you all had some other options.

Shooters Connection has:
Blade-tech stingray DOH (left handed)
CR-Speed belt with blue trim
Two CR-Speed DBL mag pouches in blue.

He is hoping to do something with a little color as all dads equipment and most his friends are all black.

Thank for any thoughts.......I am so excited :)

I don't like double mag pouches. I prefer singles since I can space them how I want. Other than that your setup looks fine.

I don't know USPSA rules however I use 5 CR Speed single "Versa" pouches in IPSC.

The other advantage of these mag pouches is that they can be set up to fit virtually any type of magazine including a single stack 1911 mag.
This. An save money and hassles when you decide to go with a differen firearm down the road.
