Well, it was another all day affair in the desert last weekend. Its getting colder but 12 Volt, his Bro-in-law Doug and I went out to let some brass fly. We packed up the usual arsenal of AK's, CZ's, Mak's, Kahr's etc.......

Great day for all of us. This is the first time Ive been shooting in over a month...so it was THERAPY TIME :D for me.

We tried shooting golf balls for distance..which wasnt my strong suit :scrutiny: and the farthest we got one was probably 40-50 ft.
This was strange as 12 Volt's last outing he sent them sailing with my little Makarov...who knows?

Then the bowling pins came out....5 on a shelf plank at 17 yds away.
Doug blazes out with a 3.20 second time first time up :cuss: !

My angels finally showed up and I set a record of 2.84 seconds to clear them all....man! Its about time...all day all I'd heard was "Alien..what did you do with Eric?" in regards to my shooting up to this point. :D

We got out the 10-22's and set up some 3/4" paint balls on golf tees at about 50 yds out....by the end of this session we had all cleared numerous paint balls......very accurate little shooters those Rugers.
12 Volt was the most consistant with his sweety Ruger....trigger was "perfect"........................

On the way out Doug had set up 4 gallon jugs of H2o where we were and we stopped an estimated 300-350 yds out from that point. Out come the long guns.....:D

12 Volts Ak47 was a sweety...god they dont recoil at all. Much like an AR15 in case you havent shot one. Either 12V or I got one of them with open sights...I KNOW IT WAS HIM! Its amazing how a 30 rnds mag can seem to go by by in a flash or last for what seems like 100 rnds

Doug pulls out his poly stocked .270 Bolt action. Light gun and bloody accurate.....a strange note here..the powder from these rounds smelled like Rotten Eggs.......oh well. Doug took out # 2 water jug...resting the .270 across the hood of his "For shooting only Suburban".....I got the pleasure of taking out the last two.....

Ill bet you guys didnt think a CZ PCR would stay within 3-4 ft of a Water jug, consistantly, at 350 yds did you? Very very cool......they were like this :what:

All in all...Doug was the precision shooter of the day. I had little flashes of goodness and 12 Volt was doing well also.

We had a riot...and I didnt have to come home to a mad wife because I was like 3-4 hrs late.........te he he.......Sorry guys! Had to throw that in.

Until the next episode of the URNSA ....stay tuned and Shoot well............

What you doing November 15th? We are having a 3 gun match out at the FARM. I'm the match director, so hopefully it won't suck to much. :) You guys should come out and shoot with us.

That pretty much sums it up. It was a great day. Time blew buy. I am still amazed that Eric took down 5 bowling pins in 2.8 seconds with his PCR. :what: I am afraid that record will stand for a long time. We have never shot at an official bowling pin match, so I am not sure of the "real" rules. We set up at approx 15 to 20 yards and space the pins 8 to 10 inches apart. We start the clock at the first shot and stop it when the last pin gets hit. It is a riot.
Doug got his best times with my XD9 (The Croatian Sensation), and I shot best with my Makarov (Nikoli......all my guns have names).
We set up near an old mine where it looked like many others had used for a shooting spot. It was a cool area to explore. I hope we get to do this again soon. Buy the way.......I did not catch any heat from the wife. I was quite surprised because we left about 10am and did not get back till after dark.

Correia,
I would like to check out a 3 gun match. I guess you use a pistol, a semi-auto rifle, and a shot gun? I wonder if it would be ok to just use a regular stock 870 for the shotgun, or does it need to be something more "Tactical". Tell me how they work.

A regular old 870 is just fine. You may want to pull the plug out of it if it is set up for hunting. Otherwise, pistol with at least 3 mags & holster. Rifle with a couple of mags, shotgun. Seriously let me know if you guys are interested. I'd love to meet some more Utah THR folks. (I shot with PCRCCW once but that was a couple of years ago).

12 Volt
"Golfball"...........:D

sorry...inside joke guys.

Correia, maybe we can cruise down..Id love to check out the farm anyway.

Email me with a schedule and such........if you could.

thanks and shoot well.

Correia,
Send me a PM with the details (location, schedule, fees etc.....)
