Well, it was a glorious day in the west desert of Ut today.
12Volt and Bil/Doug met up with me at HBE and we headed out to meet another soon to be member of the Redneck Club. We met up with "Thefumegator" or Wes from THR on the way out and we went shooting :D .
We had the usual 'couple" of guns with us.....heres a pic of the handguns that we brought with us

I think there is 15 or 16 of just about every style/type you can name.....anyway.

Heres how I was dressed ALL DAY! Hey its all in the name of Holster R&D for YOU the end user :D

Ya Im kidding...I have 9 guns on me in that pic...Im thinking hurry take the damn pic so I can breath.

We started the day off paired up on the line, doing draws from concealment, shooting at Yard Sale Dish Ware.
Wes/Fum and Doug/Bil went first. Doug got the upper hand. Then 12Volt and I were up...he got me.
So Im the "BIG LOSER" of this one........Doug/Bil being the classy guy he is let me do "consilation rematch" with him.
The winner and loser....According to him, I barely beat him.

Next was shooting from a ready position with our favorite lifesize cardboard cutout with a famous person added to it.
Heres a pic with 12 Volt getting WAY too freindly with our target. I cant really post the other pics I took.......utterly degrading, even for a Redneck.

By the end of this round Poor Jessica Simpson was fatally wounded many times over. This exercise was a double tap to the body and one shot to Jessica.
Doug cleared this with a smoking 1.47 seconds. The rest of us were in the middle/high 1 second range.
Wes our newest member fit right in with our Redneck behavior, scratching certain key bodily areas, swaring and talking in very bad foreign accents.
All kidding aside Wes is a good shot, has great guns and did fit in with our little shooting group rather well. (Doug is the master of the Voices and is destined to be a famous radio personality)

We were slowly running out of time as some of us had things to do......real life stuff. Wives, Work and such. So we broke out the long guns....
Heres a pic of 12 Volt with his PAIR of Atomic Stealth Assault Rifles.....an AR and an AK, both in sneaky black trim.

We all took turns taking out some very aggresive clay pigeons Wes/Fum had brought along. Great fun.........

Well there you have it....the not so concise and almost accurate account of our day today. And it was a riot.
Heres our very crappy (my camera had a bad day) group pic of us. We grew by 33% today....and I think we can trick Wes into coming with us again sometime.
Hope you liked the report of the URSA shoot.

Wow,
Great report. I can't really add anything to that, other than we did have a great time.
The URSA is a talented bunch of rednecks, We have Eric with his holsters, Wes with his drawings, and me and Doug with our grips, guide rods etc...... Not bad for inbred folks. Not to mention every now and then we can actually hit a target.

What,?? No wheel guns??!!!! As long as a great time was had.. Go ahead, make me green with envy.:)

A glorious day it was, and I have the sunburns to prove it! :)

Yes, it was a great day of shooting, trying new guns, honing useful shooting skills, and finally meeting fellow THR members. Now there are three people out there that know the dreaded meaning of my handle... :uhoh:

Would you believe that I'd never shot a 1911, Makarov, CZ-75, or AR-15 before yesterday? At least I can't make that claim anymore. :D

I can hardly wait for the next meet!

Wes

Looks like y'all had fun. However, the TN Mafia still claims the title of Largest Gathering Of THR Rednecks and Firearms (tm). Although I do believe them thar folks in Colorado might be trying to stake a claim to the Championship Belt. Y'all come talk to us when you've got 15 or 20 folks, some of whom have come from other states (yes, I said other stateS, not another state).

Y'all do need to get some wheelguns though. Not to mention some shotguns. No self-respecting bunch of rednecks would be caught dead without some scatterguns around.

Frank

I suppose you guys would like to see us shoot some of these. :D

Not sure what they are. I found them on a thread over at ak-47.net. They might be 45/70 revolvers.

Or maybe we could just say heck with the wheel guns and go for one of these. (again borrowed from an ak-47.net thread)

He even survived the VERY BRUTAL INITIATION PROCESS......sshh, its a secret.

;) ;) I survived it. It's okay, the secret of the Ancient Societal Order of Rednecks is safe with me... :D Oh! I've said too much!

They might be 45/70 revolvers.

That looks like a .50 BMG round on the table, so that might be one of those fabled .50 BMG revolvers. :scrutiny: Hmmm, I wonder if they're real.

Wes

What NO DUCT TAPE? You havent seen how Doug/Bils Suburban is held togethor now have you? :D
Its the official Redneck Assault Vehicle......but TheFum's truck is a very very close second. With bonus points for the multi colored paint scheme..........:D

12Volt.......If you get the 50 BMG Rifle (?) Ill build you a CCW rig for it :what:

Shoot well.
