You may want to check that to make sure. I have heard that the UTAS is not legal in California due to the fact that it alternates between the tubes automatically. They consider that as being a 14 round mag even though you can choose each tube independently.

I wouldn't be so quick to tout that guy...
This implies that I was doing just that, but to say so is dishonest. Maybe though, you missed the text of my post and only saw that I embedded a video without comment. That's got to be what happened because I never mentioned any 'guy'; the subject of my sentence was certainly not 'that guy'. What I did was, I pointed to nothing else in that video except for the hilarity and how much of a turd that UTAS proved to be.

What I'm saying is, I don't think that man, nor anything he's ever produced, has enough credibility to prove or disprove anything.

A video showing a guy cursing up a storm while having problems with shells that are known to have an extremely soft aluminum base doesn't convince me that the gun in question is a POS.

I recently bought the Kel Tec KSG.

Actually, even though I have a number of shotguns, I'm not a "shotgun person".
The guns are equipped with Streamlight TLR-2 laser/lights, but are still number three on the HD lineup, behind the Streamlight TLR-2 AR and TLR-2 equipped pistols.

Thing is, since I've been shooting the Kel Tec it's about to move up to 1st place on the HD list.
The thing is impressive.:)

I'm not going to buy one but I can think of a use. Sometimes I have to track game that other people made a poor shot on and I could see the merits of having a tube of slugs and a tube of buck.

Yep KSG is NY street legal, handled one the other day at the LGS. pretty cool but not apart of my budget and is not on the short list of "wants" right now

I suffered through all of one of NutnFancy's videos, a light review. It was decent, but took at least 3x as long as it should have. I tried to watch one of his Spyderco "reviews". It was obvious within seconds that he has waaaay more wind than knowledge. I wouldn't use him as proof of anything, other than that some people will watch anything.

FWIW, when I was at SHOT, 4 KelTec SMEs couldn't get the KSG running- on arguably the most important single day of the year.

My one and only shotgun is a wee bit longer,

...so I could really see the utility of the bullpup shotgun in a close-in environment. There is a video out there of some correctional training group using KSGs in a very rough manner firing 68 caliber stingballs in a training cell block, being thrown around, dropped and otherwise abused, and they still worked fine. I would love a chance to try a KSG out - unlike a competition, a HD shotgun probably won't have reloads standing by, and will have "run with what ya brung", so the more the merrier.

Where on God's green earth did you find it and how much markup did you pay?
There's a small LGS a couple miles from my house. I buy a LOT of guns there.

The manager told me he was offered a KT KSG by one of his distributors. He asked me if I wanted it.
I said I'd like to have it but I'd pay only $1,000 + tax for it.
Since I've known the manager for years and I'm such a good customer, the manager and store owner said, OK.

Today I showed the gun to seven shooters. All were impressed.

I tore my left and right shoulders and had them operated on back to back. Still hurts, have limited range of motion and low strength (can't hold out a pistol with my left arm), so I can't do much more than fire a few shells at a time with the Kel Tec. I hope in the next week or two some of my shooting lady friends can give the gun a good workout. :)

the KSG and UTAs are NY legal because they are pump guns.

since they are not semi-auto there is no mag restriction

Good video.

I'd like to try the THAS.

One thing, and I saw it in the video and experience it myself.
The bullpup design and the particular gun does take getting used to. It's not your 870 pump.

I'd like to try both, but not for the price points quoted. The UT will probably end up being re-worked, but it's interesting how the company home page describes it as a hunting shotgun.I can't think there are too many states that would allow such a magazine capacity for hunting...AZ does, might make one heck of a bunny duster. :)

I think sheer visual shock value the UT wins, definitely a Terminator style shotgun...if it will work right.
